Age of Empires III là tựa game lấy bối cảnh cho các cuộc chiến tranh trong cuộc xâm chiếm Bắc Mỹ của châu Âu. Với khá nhiều thay đổi trò chơi được nâng cấp và bổ sung nhiều tính năng mới. Có thể kể đến như Home city – đây là nơi quan trọng nhất mà người chơi phải thường xuyên theo dõi. Bởi vì sự phát triển của Home city sẽ xác định quyền lực và tài nguyên thuộc địa của bạn. Cùng với đó là sự bổ sung của ba nền văn minh châu Á hùng mạnh bao gồm Nhật Bản, Trung Quốc và Ấn Độ.

Nhắc đến tựa game chiến thuật, chắc chắn sẽ khó có thể có game nào vượt qua được Age Of Empires III – tượng đài vững chắc trong thể loại chiến lược này. Với một trò chơi về mặt trí tuệ, người chơi với sự nhanh nhẹn của họ nghĩ ra các chiến lược khác nhau để bảo vệ và xây dựng đất nước. Ngoài ra, mở rộng vùng đất cũng như khẳng định vị thế của mình cũng là một trong những nhiệm vụ hàng đầu đòi hỏi người chơi phải thể hiện vai trò của người lãnh đạo, huấn luyện quân đội để đưa vào chiến tranh. Nhiệm vụ của bạn là mở rộng đất đai và cướp tài nguyên của các đế chế khác để trở thành kẻ mạnh nhất.

Trải nghiệm người chơi

Không giống như các phiên bản trò chơi đế chế trước đây. Trong AOE 3, người chơi có 5 để chinh phục và đỉnh cao nhất là kỷ nguyên đế quốc với nhiều vũ khí hiện đại như đại bác. Sự khác biệt cũng được thể hiện trong thời đại công nghiệp, trong đó các game thủ phải thực hiện các nhiệm vụ như xây dựng nhà máy và nâng cấp quân đội lên Guard để đảm bảo an toàn cho đối thủ.

Ngoài ra, điểm kinh nghiệm cũng góp phần xoay chuyển tình hình. Điểm được tích lũy cho toàn bộ quá trình xây dựng hoặc để thêm thức ăn, nó cũng được sử dụng để chế tạo tàu chiến và gửi thẻ từ Home City.
